Hello, it's Hsu!

I am a creative interior and architectural designer committed to making spaces functional and relaying a unique narrative of the clients. I am adept at cultivating and deepening client relationships. I am well versed in discussing client briefs, developing design concepts, and working team-based and independently. I believe in a strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards challenges. I have completed a Bachelor of Interior Design (Commercial) at Torrens University and a Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Technology Sydney.

My Story

As a child, I grew up in a small flat with a family of 4 in Myanmar. Since then I understood the value of the space, I was living in. The passion I had past few years doing projects confirmed my interest in becoming both an architect and an interior designer. I saw the rapid improvement and growth academically throughout my undergraduate years. The time I spent doing an undergraduate degree in architecture was eye-opening for me. Instead of finding a job, I decided to hone my skills further while I still have a chance to study in Australia as I am sure that interior design is something I want to specialize in for my career.

My background in Architecture influenced my decision to pursue interior design. I have always been drawn to the interior spaces of a building. As an architecture student, I was very familiar with technical aspects such as form, material, climate, lighting, ventilation, and many more. On the other hand, interior design considers human psychology, branding, and emotional aspects of the spaces. I find that extremely interesting and want to take a step back to learn about it more in-depth. I aspire to be a designer in both architecture and interior whose roles, methodologies, and service expectations are continuously evolving within social, economic, and political culture.
